China assures further cooperation in improving Pakistan’s economy

BEIJING: China has given assurance to Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of cooperation in improving Pakistan’s economy with further investments, besides enhancing contacts at party-to-party level.
This assurances was given to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at a banquet hosted in his honour and other members of the Pakistani delegation by the senior leader of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Liu Hongcai here on Sunday.
The members of the delegation included Secretary General of PPP Jahangir Badar, Adviser to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik, the Charged Affairs of Pakistan Embassy, Abdul Salik Khan and others.
On the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto presented various proposals including close cooperation and exchange of visits between PPP and CPC and expansion of cooperation in economic field. Liu who is also Vice Minister appreciated these proposals.
He also assured that China would extend all out help in all spheres of life for improving socio-economic conditions of the people of Pakistan as well as further cementing the bilateral relations.
Bilawal Bhutto extended heartiest congratulation for holding the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympics in a splendid manner.
Bilawal Bhutto informed Mr. Liu that his grandfather Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was architect of laying the strong foundation of friendship between Pakistan and China and his mother Shaheed Mohterma Benazir Bhutto furthet consoldated these bonds.
Bhutto said he is determined to carry forward these ties to new heights.
The Chinese side was greatly delighted, as Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had chosen China to start international politics.
It was Bilawal Bhutto’s first ever appearance here and on the international forum during which he also attended the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on August 8.
The visit of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as Chairman, PPP was highly successful, as key CPC members held meetings with him and exchanged views on all issues and appreciated his political vision.
Bilawal Bhutto who is visiting China on the invitation of CPC was given the protocol accorded to the state dignitaries.
