Mushahid says PML message to be taken to all

ISLAMABAD:(APS) The PML Secretary General, Senator Mushahid Hussain has said that the message of Pakistan Muslim League as a vibrant and robust opposition would be spread to all sections of society. Talking to various PML delegations from different parts of the country at the PML House, Senator Mushahid Hussain said that the PML was the only political party that was taking a strong stand on issues and going to the people at the grassroots. He said that the coalition government was failing to provide leadership to the people at the time of crises and their action and utterances were contributing to the sense of despondency and confusion. He said that recently the PML had held a successful Media Conference and this would contribute to activating the party's media outlets in different parts of the country. Then on the occasion of the International Youth Day, the PML Youth Wing had promoted an environmental awareness through its "Green and Clean Pakistan" campaign by planting saplings. Talking to PML Information Secretary, Sindh, Haleem Adil Sheikh, they discussed matters pertaining to the media and party organization in that province and in that meeting Senator Mushahid Hussain announced that President, PML Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and he himself would visit upper Sindh during August 16-18, touring Sukkur and Shikarpur. This tour would also help in mobilizing the party workers in that province who are facing political victimization. During a meeting at the PML House with the party leaders from NWFP, including Additional Secretary General Intikhab Khan, Deputy Information Secretary Moazam Butt and Provincial Information Secretary Nighat Orakzai, the PML Secretary General lauded the activities of the PML in the NWFP which was quite active under the leadership of Provincial Party President Amir Muqam. He also discussed the arrangements for organizing of a peace and stability conference in Peshawar by the PML NWFP on the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations. Later, talking to reporters at the PML House, Senator Mushahid Hussain said that the PML Minorities Wing would organize an Independence Day meeting at the PML House on August 11 to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah's famous speech of August 11, 1947 to the first Constituent Assembly. The PML Punjab would also organize a public rally in Rawalpindi on August 14. He also apprised the media of the meeting held at the residence of Chaudhry Shujat Hussain with PML Balochistan President Jam Yousaf and Additional Secretary General Mir Naseer Mengal. He said that both he and Chaudhry Shujat Hussain had been invited by Jam Yousaf to visit Balochistan and dates for that visit would be set. He informed the media that PML President had convened a meeting of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) on Thursday, August 21, 2008.
